Hey there. I'm liking the vibe of this track, but i am noticing your sounds are kinda meh. You should really expand your library with some more HQ stuff. You can do good things with some of the default stuff, but if you really want to make some good hits you should upgrade.

Now you're probably like me in the fact that you don't want to really spend money on this. I would recommend checking a site called warbeats.co m. The forums there have some excellent tutorials on things like mastering and composition. Also they have a samples forum where you can find some websites like KVR that have some great free stuff.

Be careful towards the end there where you have everything coming together. It sounds like you're on the edge of peaking too high.

Pretty decent overall though. I would recommend having a big big drop in there somewhere as well.

I love all the stylistic changes you make in this. The asian string sounds great (you need to show me where you got this! :) ) and the track is mastered well overall.

Once again you percussion is pretty wimpy here as well. Not likeing the quarter note snare either. I felt like you could change it up some more pretty easily. I like the melody you have going. The panning it pretty cool too!

Feeling the clap was a bit too wimpy in this. With such a big reverb I was expecting a much more powerful clap.

the horn part is a little to loud for my taste.

Other than that it's pretty good. Keep it up!

As I listen...

Listening this as I write, so here it goes.

Good start. I like starting with instruments better than drums and this reflects it.

You need a more heavy snare, it's too weak.

Seems like at 1:40-ish you went for a music break, but I would have loved to hear some more nitty gritty breakbeat you had there before you break. Also, I think the break was too long.

More drums overall now that they're back in. I can hardly hear them.

You need some more moving lines like at 3:15-ish. Just having chords is sort of boring to me after you had a drum break.

Once again, you need a lot more drums.

A crash symbol would be nice when you change sections.

Towards the end (4:45-ish) That main melody needs to come out since it is the moving line. Your chords are covering everything up.

That last lick of melody at the end would have been great during a drum break, since it stands alone pretty well. Also, it would be good for a climax having all the parts together at the end.

Excellent song

The transitions in this song are superb and the melody has an extremely cool feel to it. Great work you (insert number of people who worked on this piece). =P

This song makes me want to just scream CHEYEAHHHH right when you break into the melody. Love how you have those elongated rhythms that fit in so well. I'm trying to learn how to get everything to fit together myself, so your music is amazing me. Great job!
